Saving is sin, and spending is virtue...
Interesting article written by an Indian Economist

Japanese save a lot. They do not spend much. Also Japan exports far more
than it imports. Has an annual trade surplus of over 100 billions. Yet
Japanese economy is considered weak, even collapsing.

Americans spend, save little. Also US imports more than it exports. Has an
annual trade deficit of over $400 billion. Yet, the American economy is
considered strong and trusted to get stronger.

But where from do Americans get money to spend?

They borrow from Japan , China and even India .
Virtually others save for the US to spend. Global savings are mostly
invested in US, in dollars.

India itself keeps its foreign currency assets of over $50 billions in US
securities. China has sunk over $160 billion in US securities. Japan 's
stakes in US securities is in trillions.

Result:

The US has taken over $5 trillion from the world. So, as the world saves
for the US , Americans spend freely. Today, to keep the US consumption
going, that is for the US economy to work, other countries have to remit
$180 billion every quarter, which is $2 billion a day, to the US !

A Chinese economist asked a neat question. Who has invested more, US in
China , or China in US? The US has invested in China less than half of what
China has invested in US.

The same is the case with India . We have invested in US over $50 billion.
But the US has invested less than $20 billion in India .

Why the world is after US?

The secret lies in the American spending, that they hardly save. In fact
they use their credit cards to spend their future income. That the US
spends is what makes it attractive to export to the US . So US imports more
than what it exports year after year.

The result:

The world is dependent on US consumption for its growth. By its deepening
culture of consumption, the US has habituated the world to feed on US
consumption. But as the US needs money to finance its consumption, the
world provides the money.

It's like a shopkeeper providing the money to a customer so that the
customer keeps buying from the shop. If the customer will not buy, the shop
won't have business, unless the shopkeeper funds him. The US is like the
lucky customer. And the world is like the helpless shopkeeper financier.

Who is America 's biggest shopkeeper financier? Japan of course. Yet it's
Japan which is regarded as weak. Modern economists complain that Japanese
do not spend, so they do not grow. To force the Japanese to spend, the
Japanese government exerted itself, reduced the savings rates, even charged
the savers.

Even then the Japanese did not spend (habits don't change, even with taxes,
do they?). Their traditional postal savings alone is over $1.2 trillions,
about three times the Indian GDP. Thus, savings, far from being the
strength of Japan , has become its pain.

Hence, what is the lesson?

That is, a nation cannot grow unless the people spend, not save. Not just
spend, but borrow and spend.

Dr. Jagdish Bhagwati, the famous Indian-born economist in the US , told
Manmohan Singh that Indians wastefully save. Ask them to spend, on imported
cars and, seriously, even on cosmetics! This will put India on a growth
curve. This is one of the reason for MNC's coming down to India , seeing the
consumer spending.

'Saving is sin, and spending is virtue.'

But before you follow this neo economics, get some fools to save so that
you can borrow from them and spend!!!
God Bless You

A lil updates about my weekend!

So... after a great weekend, it's time to get serious now. Let's update a lil about my great weekend. So me, Sue Ann and Sean decided to go for a happy hour in KL on the Saturday. After google-ing for a few websites, I decided to try out at Sassoroso Italian Restaurant near to KLCC. First visit and I loved it. The ambiance is great... relaxing ... because we did not made a reservation, we only managed to get the outside table. Good enough! The menu was well customize.. there are pasta... risotto...pizza... appetizer... dessert... and their main thing to do there... The wine selection! They have so many wine selection which I also do not how to differentiate. So I ordered pizza with four types of italian cheeseeeeeeee... yummy!!! I forgot what is the name... something.. formaggi... haha... Then Sue Ann ordered pasta as usual and Sean had risotto that night. When my pizza was served, I got a shocked! It's BIG!! But the smell of the cheese was so yummyyyy.... Ohhh... NICE! I actually finished 5 our of 8 pieces pizza that night... hehe... i know.. i know.. it's FAT.. but I cannot resist them!

So after our fulfilling dinner, we decided to go for a drink. After cracking my head thinking where to go.. finally we ended up at Zouk. Ohh.. it was packed.. got Juicy event that night at the main room. Thank God because we still have a quarter of bottle left that previous night we went, we MANAGED to skip the queue!! Hahaha... phewww... when I entered Velvet... Goshh!! It was so cold!! I was freezing inside there... Can't even enjoyed a lil... Sigh... sad case! But but but... but... one thing that made my day! hahaha... the highlight of the night!I do not know if it is nice to share it here... but since it has been requested by someone, so i shall wrote them down. So I was waiting for my turn in the ladies room at Zouk that night, I waited for quite sometime and the idiot people was still inside dunno doing what. Then I could heard some water gushing down from somewhere. So out of curiosity, I tried to locate the source of the sound. And guess what? The lady beside me was peeing! Ermm... she was standing there awkwardly and let the water just flow down to the floor. Thank God she was wearing a very short dress that night or else... I cannot imagine what will happen to her. So all of us were looking at her. I was so wanted to laugh... but in order to avoid making her look bad, I just kept them to myself until I went into the toilet room. HAHAHAHAHA... ok.. I am a lil evil ... but but but.. it was funny. Probably she was unable to hold it any longer. So pity her but she should have squat down. That would probably save her legs from her own "water". The most funny was the cleaner actually cleaning and tell the others that the lady inside the toilet room pee and wet the floor! Gosh.. that was embarrassing! That cleaner also another one.. sigh... can't she just act dumb?!! And also the friend that came in with the lady.. she looked at her and acted that nothing happen and continued talking with that "lady". Hahaha... that was funny too! Oh... something that I think I hardly got a chance to see live.

One of the good weekends!! :)

Advance Father's day celebration

In order to avoid the high traffic of Father's day, we had decided to make it a week earlier for celebration. After a long consideration, we had decided to go to PJ Seafood at Damansara for seafood. Erm.. not really seafood but CRABS! Yummy! We made a reservation a day earlier and by the time we reached there, it was almost full! Thank God that I made a booking. Phewww.... So we ordered few dishes and the cannot missed signature dishes, "butter crabs" and also "salty egg crabs". Since I did not have my dinner the day before, it is time for me to have something good inside my empty stomach. We managed to click some pictures before our food came.

Now I know why ppl looks at the eyes!

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him.

"I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"

"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said:

"When I made the woman she had to be special.

I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world,

yet gentle enough to give comfort.

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed"

"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

The Moment

One Moment listen please

The Moment you are in Tension
You will lose your Attention
Then you are in total Confusion
And you will feel Irritation
Then you will spoil personal Relation
Ultimately, you won't get Co - Operation
Then you will make things Complication
Then your blood pressure may raise Caution
And you may have to take Medication
Instead, understand the Situation
And try to think about the Solution
Many problems will be solved by Discussion
This will work out better in your Profession
Don't think it's my free Suggestion
It's only for your Prevention
If you understand my Intention
You will never come again to Tension

Reason, Season or Lifetime!

Something that I copied from somewhere where I think I like it!

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person..
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support,
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons,
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson,
love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life,
whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime

Another day just passed by...

Again, it's weekend soon! Weekend is like a charger.. a charger that re-charges my wasted energy during the weekdays. This week has been a relaxing week for me.. not so hectic like previous weeks.. gosh! That really kills me. Finally it's time for me to sit back and enjoy a lil... but soon.. soon I have to start getting busy again.. this time with the diploma final exam preparation. Setting final exam questions... prepare the answer sheet.. arghh... I can't believe that I am actually doing that... hmm... after being a student for 3 years, now I am actually setting up exam paper.. :)

Today I had lunch with Diana... Fu Hao and that lil 'angel'... you know who are u! Ishh... I tell you.. this angel is devilish! Really trying so hard to just make me feel bad.. Nvm.. I will have my chance back..

And today I canceled my class again.. haha.. this time is for some modeling audition. Haha.. actually my main reason of going there is to record the walk for my miss runway.. but when Victor saw me.. he insisted me to go up for the audition (he always claimed that he think I am more than what I am now... lol..thank you Sir!). so yeah.. I went for it... walking catwalk on the stage in front of people really made me fear and nervous! Gosh.. not first time but the feeling is still there. And I was selected.. my luck I guess.. haha... now that I am selected, meaning I need to practice more now!

Oh yeah.. that lil angel sent me a link to this video clip.. it was so touching!! I actually almost shed a tear...
